The soldier was rescued after getting off a blocked bus in Jerusalem, where he was surrounded by an agitated crowd of protesters.

During the incident in which he was killed, two officers and one soldier were severely wounded, one soldier was moderately wounded, and two officers and one soldier were lightly wounded.
