The IDF confirmed that the Military Police and Israel Police are investigating the incident in coordination, and the findings will be submitted to the Military Advocate-General Corps for review.
Following the attack, Israeli settlers started a fire in one of the village's homes, according to Army Radio, with a 65-year-old Palestinian evacuated due to smoke inhalation.
The settler group had not received approval from IDF forces prior to entering the West Bank, the military said.
The terrorist was Fathi Khazem, father of Raad Khazem, a terrorist who had committed a mass shooting attack in Tel Aviv in April, 2022.
The Prime Minister's Office said that there will be no reconstruction "of any kind" in the Gaza Strip without the complete disarmament of Hamas.
The military still permits the widespread and unregulated use of Chinese technology, including drones used by troops at the IDF's frontline operational edge.
