Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, several government officials, and opposition figures condemned the Jewish extremists who rioted in the West Bank on Monday.

The manhunt developed as a somewhat unusual event, given that lately the IDF only arrived at the scene of Jewish violence toward Palestinians in order to end and disrupt that violence.

Israeli forces were dispatched to the scene of the riot, carried out in response to an earlier demolition of an illegal settlement outpost in the Judean hills.

The public silence of Netanyahu, Katz, and Ben-Gvir points to the only plausible conclusion: The government is part of the problem, not the solution.

Netanyahu addressed the recent spike in West Bank Jewish settler violence, stressing the large majority of settlers are law-abiding and loyal to the state.

The opening of police investigations into incidents of West Bank settler violence has been dropping despite increasing attacks against Palestinian villages, mosques, and farms.

The solidarity harvest was initiated by NGOs Rabbis for Human Rights and Peace Now, shortly after an attack on Palestinians and Israelis alike harvesting olives near the village of Burin.

“The IDF will not tolerate the behavior of a criminal minority that stains a law-abiding public," IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir said in a statement.

Rubio's comments came after a meeting of G7 foreign ministers in Canada, where he also discussed the Gaza stabilization force, Saudi relations, Iran sanctions, Syria, as well as other topics.

Four Palestinians were injured in the settler attack, which extended to a factory, as well as agricultural lands, metal sheds, and several tents belonging to Bedouin families.

The two adults and their four children who were inside their house at the time of the fire suffered smoke inhalation and were evacuated for medical treatment.
