"Recently, several people approached Ra'am following the negotiations with Yoav Segalovitz. A group was formed specifically of former senior officials and others," Muhammad Majadle said.

Among the opposition parties, the Democrats have failed to return to double digits after losing two seats last week, falling to nine, below the level recorded before the party’s primaries.

Lapid, following the announcement, praised Segalovitz's "integrity and professionalism" during his years of serving Israel as part of Yesh Atid.

All three of the main political bloc supporters had a majority agree that the election's integrity was in danger, although the exact percentage varied widely.
