The upcoming festival honors the resilience of the Israeli public and security forces during the war, KKL-JNF said, while adding that the main concerts will be held in northern and southern Israel.

KKL-JNF completed an upgrade of the Aminadav Forest visitor center, adding new infrastructure, accessible paths, observation points, and signage.

"The main bottleneck with wildfires is in detection, with rescue services not being able to detect the fires before they become a major problem," Dr. Jenia Yurkovsky, co-founder of Firewave, said.

Tree planting has already begun near the city, and the site, which will also include a memorial for the victims, is expected to be inaugurated in October 2026.

With Lag Ba'omer approaching, and Israelis recalling last year's Independence Day wildfires, the Fire and Rescue Authority issued a statement banning unsanctioned bonfires.

“The Forest of the Martyrs is far more than a memorial site; it is the living and growing testament to the triumph of the Jewish and Zionist spirit," said KKL-JNF Chairman Eyal Ostrinsky.

The aid is aimed at communities located within 0–2 kilometers of the border fence, including Shlomi, Metula, and Kiryat Shmona, as well as several regional councils along the confrontation line.

The organization said the decision came in response to what it described as a growing wave of antisemitic violence and terror targeting Jewish communities worldwide.

The photographs, dating from the 1920s through the 1950s, captured the vitality and communal creativity that defined the holiday during the British Mandate period and the early years of Israel.
