Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi had traveled to Tehran carrying the US-Iran ceasefire proposal, which Iranian officials said fails to address the question of control over the Strait of Hormuz.

Local sources said that Iran had launched drone and missile attacks at the Al-Salem airbase in Kuwait, Iran's IRCG- affiliated Tasnim News Agency reported.

"We do not wait for missiles to fall or for the enemy to knock on our door before getting ready," Lt. Col. Ella Waweya said.

Tehran activated its air defenses, while explosions were reported in the islands of Qeshm, Larak, and Hengam, as well as the Iranian cities of Ahvaz and Bandar Abbas.

During the interview, while discussing Iran and the possibility of further escalation, Saada said, “We all know that we are approaching an attack on Iran, perhaps even as early as this weekend."

A US military official told the NYT that almost a dozen US soldiers injured by Iranian attacks across the region in July were flown to a US military hospital in Germany for treatment.

"I am considering a massive attack. Bigger than ever before. I am close to making a decision. We are all set for it," the US president told Axios.

Israel's security agencies said the operation exposed a global Iranian recruitment network that used intermediaries to build terror cells targeting Israel.

Four sources familiar with the matter said Iran flew IRGC personnel and military equipment from Tehran to Yemen on July 13, in a previously unreported transfer.
