The arrest was carried out as part of the investigation into the wave of grenade attacks, arson, and shootings that has hit central and northern Israel in recent days.

The arrest comes after a series of grenade attacks hit central Israel with no injuries recorded, raising suspicions that IDF weapons have been illicitly distributed.

According to the Israel Police, forces arrived at the scene shortly after a report of an explosion, and an investigation is ongoing.

Authorities believe the overnight grenade blast at a north Tel Aviv luxury complex was criminally motivated, though the target remains unclear.

Numerous explosives, ‘Kalashnikov’ rifles, grenades, RPGs, machine guns, munitions, and combat equipment were found in the cache. 

Eyewitnesses at the scene reported that the explosion, which occurred before the gunfire, was followed by a drone hovering over the area.

Domrani was arrested on suspicion of involvement in the overnight throwing of a fragmentation grenade into the yard of a private home in Ashkelon.

According to a police statement, initial investigation showed the grenade was defunct, as it "contained no explosives, and the detonator was inoperative."

One other Chinese national was wounded in the attack, which took place on Wednesday evening in Tajikistan's southwestern Khatlon province.
