One might think that from Israel’s point of view, the collapse of the Assad regime would be seen as a positive development because now Iran and its proxies cannot take root in Syria.

This week, Defense Minister Israel Katz said Druze from across the separation line would be allowed to enter the Golan Heights for work.

The program of Syrian Druze working in the Golan Heights will start on March 16.

The Syrian Druze were a minority in the Assad era who mostly kept to themselves, with some past positive history with Israel.
