Orthodox Jewish groups say a bill that would make daylight saving time permanent could upend their routine by pushing winter sunrises and the earliest permissible time for some prayers an hour later.

"We are distributing food, water, and essential supplies, strengthening families and giving them hope," Rabbi Markovich said of the volunteer operations amid Russian bombardment.

The campaign was directed by Chabad spokesman Rabbi Motti Seligson of the Chabad-Lubavitch Media Center and Chabad.org.

The moving discovery came alongside a visit by Russia’s chief rabbi, Rabbi Berel Lazar, to the main summer camp outside Moscow.

"Our first priority was just to connect with people on a personal level, on an individual level, and find out what people felt was missing," Rabbi Feldman told The Jerusalem Post.

Officers responded within minutes and arrested both suspects shortly afterward.
