The soldier allegedly posed online as a 16-year-old boy to contact girls aged 14 and 15 and persuade them to send him revealing photographs. He allegedly later began extorting and threatening them.
The Jerusalem Magistrates Court ordered two Arab men convicted of participating in the mob attack to pay compensation to the victims, including legal expenses.

The decision does not close the investigation or clear the suspects, but without knowing how Dayan died, police have been unable to establish the evidence needed to sustain a murder allegation.
The charge alleges that the defendants acted together and caused bodily injuries to two of the three complainants. The investigation was conducted by PID’s northern team.
