If you always wanted to feel the atmosphere of a night market in Thailand or Vietnam without flying, now it’s possible in Gedera and Rehovot. The OTOTO SUSHI restaurants, led by chef Gal Vanunu, are opening December with a special – a tribute to the night markets of Asia, with an experience based on Eastern traditions and on the way food is served and eaten in the street.

The new menu focuses on dishes for sharing in the center of the table as a symbol of family-style dining, eating with your hands, and unconventional presentations that create a less formal and more lively atmosphere. The entire experience is meant to feel like a real night market.

Among the special items: A papaya salad stall prepared on the spot inside a bag and mortar as is customary at Thai stalls, alongside banana roti and eggroll inspired by Asian street kitchens. Along with them are additional dishes and desserts inspired by the East with Vanunu’s personal interpretation of the street tradition.

Range of prices for the special dishes: NIS 35–NIS 65.
