Just one month after Apple unveiled its new M5 chip, the first model based on it—the MacBook Pro—officially lands in Israel. iDigital, Apple’s premium representative in the country, announced that it has begun selling the new model in its stores and on its website, with a starting price of NIS 7,299. This is a relatively fast launch for the local market, less than two weeks after sales began in the United States, reflecting the importance Apple places on the Israeli market at a time when it is launching one of its most significant chips in recent years.
The new MacBook Pro comes with the M5 chip, developed using a 3-nanometer manufacturing process and featuring 10 CPU cores and 10 GPU cores, with performance improvements of about 15% compared to the M4 generation. According to Apple, the new chip was designed with a focus on AI performance, with the GPU equipped with built-in neural accelerators that enable more efficient AI task execution. In addition, memory bandwidth has increased to 153GB per second, and graphics performance jumped by approximately 45% compared to the previous generation.
iDigital notes that the new model is mainly aimed at content creators, developers, and data engineers, but also at private users seeking a powerful and durable computer. The Liquid Retina XDR display continues to provide highly accurate and bright visuals, and according to the company, battery life reaches up to 24 hours of continuous use. With this, Israel joins the wave of Apple launches worldwide, just ahead of rumors about additional chip versions—M5 Pro and M5 Max—expected later this year.
The price of the MacBook Pro M5 in Israel starts at NIS 7,299. iDigital offers the computer with the extended service package iDigital Mac Pack, which includes three years of warranty (two years beyond the standard warranty), a 30-day trial period during which the computer can be returned for a full refund, and the option to pay in up to 24 installments without interest. Additionally, the company provides technical support from iDigital experts during and after the purchase—a service designed to ensure a smooth user experience from the moment the box is opened.
