Big Deal, McDonald’s

The hamburger giant prepared for the summer in advance, strengthened menus and brought back into our lives its Big Deal concept. In days when the chase after promotions has become a bit discouraging, this news is encouraging by its very nature.

The plan is not to cross the threshold of NIS 30, and to increase with a family meal that still remains under the NIS 100 barrier. Thus, you can find here a Mini Royal combination, 4 McNuggets and a small drink for NIS 30, Mini Crispy Chicken, onion rings and a drink (also NIS 30), a pair of milkshakes for NIS 20, Mini Royal and a small drink for a ridiculous NIS 15, and Mini Crispy Chicken with a small drink (again, NIS 15).

The “Big Deal Family Menu” offers two tracks – 2 Big Macs or McChickens, 3 small hamburgers, 2 large fries and 2 small drinks, or 2 kids’ meals, 2 Big Macs or McChickens and a large fries. Yes, NIS 99.

The move was launched specifically towards the summer vacation, and in a way that arouses un-cynical appreciation towards a big chain that is still here – unless we missed something – to profit. True, McDonald’s gains brand loyalty and cultivates a stable and long relationship with its young customers, but last time we checked, it was a completely legal tactic.

Thus, we are left with the food itself, at its friendly prices. As a quick fix, as a stop along the way on vacation, as a daily routine break, it’s fun. When the bill comes, it’s even more fun.

Thin-Cut Pastrami and Crispy Sesame Sticks, Of Tov

The veteran Israeli company refreshes messages and packaging – marketing, design, branding – and simultaneously launches two new refrigerator-freezer stars.

The broad move, under the framework calling “It’s a good day for Of Tov,” focuses on the efficient, easy and quick solution of its products within a rather pressured Israeli daily life. It is practically implemented also through the “Thin-Cut” pastrami series that enters our lives in two flavors (honey and barbecue) and delivers thinness but also taste, as well as through “Crispy Sesame Sticks,” chicken strips that highlight crispiness and crunch of course, and do not forget the chicken, the reason we gathered here.

Back-to-School Collection, Cook and Bake

The cooking and baking store chain prepared for the parental holiday with a charming series of products and combinations – to soften the blow for the children, and much more.

The Back To School products from Cook And Bake and Roso include drinking bottles, lunch boxes, surprises and on-the-go games with added value. They do it with excellent and relatively unusual coloring for the genre, with prior thought about the users and consumers and with a general sense of fun in the air, even if this fun makes its way into school frameworks.

Here you can find, among other things, a 600 ml Double Sip stainless steel bottle with two drinking spouts – wide and narrow – and a straw (NIS 69.5), a giant “Trendy Cup” (1,200 ml) with a folding straw that keeps cold for hours (NIS 74.90), a Toolz children’s drinking bottle with straw (NIS 22.45), divided lunch boxes in blue or pink with four smart compartments (NIS 34.5), as well as sets combining all these together with scratch-off riddle cards from Meydale.

Cold Coffee Capsules, Starbucks

The American coffee giant greets the local summer with a smile, and with a temperature-cooling solution.

The hot season edition from Starbucks includes a dedicated package of two sleeves, containing Espresso Roast and Colombia capsules that were adapted for making cold coffee. This is, of course, efficient and works great with ice and milk foam (cold as well, no choice), and also fits nicely as a base for a cocktail by the poolside. We’re allowed to fantasize, aren’t we?

Sugar-Free Candies and Chewing Gums, Must

The diverse brand from Strauss refreshes with a focused and successful triple launch.

The new Must trio includes two flavors of “Cool White” gum – sweet mint and citrus-mint – as well as filled cherry candies, and adheres to the family’s basic principles. That is, sugar-free, gluten-free and vegan.

The gums themselves are refreshingly as expected (including a cute “Cooling” effect) and tend more towards the sweet side of the scale, and the candies boost with good taste and a break from routine in the middle of the road, thanks to the filling of course.
