Gadi Eisenkot's Yashar party emerged as the largest party with 24 seats following Monday's contentious Likud primary, with the opposition bloc leading the coalition 57 seats to 52.

Gadi Eisenkot called the Likud slate the "October 7 list," while Yair Lapid said the party "needs a break from power" and Avigdor Liberman accused it of becoming "haredi-lite."

"We will propose a national plan that will call on young people to return home and on Jews around the world to make aliyah to Israel, because this is our national home," Eisenkot said.

The billboard features superimposed images of Mamdani, Khamenei, Qassem, and Erdogan, and reads: “They want Netanyahu to lose; don’t let them win.”

"Shirel is a symbol of the citizens who rose up after October 7, took responsibility, and decided to act in order to lead Israel toward repair," Eisenkot stated.

Horowitz told Channel 12 that his decision to return to politics was heavily influenced by the October 7 Massacre and its aftermath. His three sons were all called to reserve duty when war broke out.

The latest poll showed that 41% of people think Netanyahu would make a better leader than Eisenkot, compared to 34% who think Eisenkot would be better.

"Israel brings with him young, courageous, and principled leadership, alongside municipal experience and extensive work to strengthen civic engagement among teenagers and young adults," Eisenkot said

“Violence of this kind, 84 days before election day, could be a grave indication of what awaits us during this period and cannot be tolerated,” Eisenkot wrote.

Footage of the incident shows several protesters surrounding and attacking the Yashar Party activist after he tried to take down a sign calling for Yigal Amir's release.
