Iran claims it possesses 460kg of 60% enriched uranium, enough to build nuclear weapons in a few years. Notably, Iran would have needed at least two years to actually make a nuclear bomb. 

The briefing came while the Trump administration's special envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner were in Geneva holding nuclear talks with Iran.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russia had launched 420 drones and 39 missiles in another night of attacks on energy and other critical infrastructure.

This diplomatic meeting is seen as a pivotal moment for both nations and a last chance to avoid a military confrontation.

Witkoff told a private gathering of AIPAC donors in Washington that the Trump administration aims to sign a deal without a "sunset clause."

The talks are expected to determine whether there is still a path to an agreement between Tehran and Washington, or whether the likelihood of a US military strike will rise significantly.

The speaker insisted that so long as the US commits to diplomacy and “respects Iran’s national dignity and mutual interests,” then Tehran would be prepared to negotiate.

As US-Iran tensions rise, US President Donald Trump stated that he will “never allow the world’s number one sponsor of terror to have a nuclear weapon.”
