El Al opens a direct route to a new destination in the US

El Al will operate three weekly flights to San Francisco starting October. The flight duration is expected to be approximately 15 hours. This is the starting price the company offers on the route.

It chose LY49 as the flight number for the 15-hour flights, which will happen three times a week, in homage to the San Francisco 49ers football team.
