Mayim Bialik

When she’s not on screen, Mayim is in touch with her Jewish identity in so many ways, from her excitement about Jewish holidays to the ways she incorporates Jewish practice into raising her children.

Following longtime host Alex Trebek’s death last fall, Bialik served as one of the show’s celebrity guest hosts for two weeks in June.

Bialik posted a video to social media talking about her performance Monday night wearing Star of David necklace.

Many celebrities have stuck to posting critical messages about Israel’s actions in its military conflict with Hamas, which began firing rockets at Israel on May 9.

"Drinking, cross-dressing, partying all night, letting it all hang out – oh yes friends, it is Purim."

“I think we are all much more aware of patterns of systemic racism and the damage done to us all when anyone is denigrated," Mayim Bialik told The Jerusalem Post via email.

Celebrity hosts will include Katie Couric, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and “60 Minutes” correspondent Bill Whitaker.
