Nandauri, named after a Georgian word meaning “The one I long for,” is a dark film that offers a female perspective on escaping her stifling rural village.

The festival will run from December 13 to 18 at the Jerusalem Cinematheque, will feature over 40 movies from 15 countries, and will explore Jewish life in times of uncertainty, as well as stability. 

This year, it will present an unusually rich lineup of international and Israeli films that explore the intersection of consciousness, healing, nature, and compassion.

Cedar’s films have won major prizes at international film festivals, including Cannes and the Berlinale.

After a year of displacement, the festival will return to Sderot and the western Negev from November 6 to 13 for its 24th edition – its first in full format since October 7.

A new dark comedy, which perhaps should be called a dramedy, is airing on Sundays and Wednesdays on KAN 11.

The international animated film festival will return to the Jerusalem Cinematheque for its ninth edition November 4-8.

The festival begins on November 5, with screenings at 20 locations.

Messing will take part in the festival’s closing event and will speak to the festival’s founder and director, Yair Hochner, about her strong connection to the LGBT community and her activism.
