A former Assad brigadier-general for the elite Quwwat al-Nimr unit, Suheil al-Hassan, is among those allegedly implicated in the recording.

The messages read "the Doors of the embassies of the Islamic Republic of I.R.A.N. are open to you."

"At this stage, there are no indications that Chief of Staff Braverman’s mobile phone was compromised, but the investigation is ongoing," the source stated.

In recent years, Handala has frequently published claims on social media about hacking, obtaining sensitive information, and possessing embarrassing materials, mainly against Israeli targets.
