Farage spoke to the Post following a phone call with Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar on Wednesday - a conversation Farage described as "very productive."

Sa’ar was present in Slovenia for the opening of the first Israeli embassy in the capital of Ljubljana and to meet with his Slovenian counterpart for the signing of a cooperation agreement.

Protests were scheduled against the opening of the embassy on Wednesday evening by student movements, a left-wing political opposition party, and pro-Palestinian groups.

At this stage, there is no indication that Slovenian authorities have opened proceedings in response to the complaint. The Foreign Ministry has not yet issued a response.
