The IDF released a statement, saying that they targeted Hamas commanders in the Shati area who were planning to carry out attacks against the IDF in the Gaza Strip.

This “anti-Zionism” is actually pure and plain antisemitism, not a political protest or a criticism of Israel’s policies or Israel’s government. None of those attacked are asked about their politics.

Smotrich further asserted that Netanyahu's stated goals for Gaza were only "halfway there," with the missing half being full Israeli control of Gaza, including Israeli settlement there. 

The situation isn’t straightforward, since Israel is still in a state of war. However, that does not change the fact that the Israeli Arabs are not guilty of constituting a danger to the state.
