Two people were injured, one of them left in critical condition, after a shooting on Sunday on Chaim Levanon Street, near the University of Tel Aviv, Israeli Police and Magen David Adom reported.

According to MDA, they responded to reports of gunfire at 10:35 p.m. and found a man in his 30s suffering from multiple penetrating wounds. He was treated on-site and evacuated to the hospital in serious and unstable condition.

An initial police investigation indicated that the shooting was likely criminal in nature. The victims, aged 30 and 24, were shot by a suspect who reportedly fled the scene immediately. The 30-year-old was listed in critical condition.

The police report mentioned that it arrived at the scene after neighbours called them because of gunfire in the area. A manhunt was launched for a motorcyclist.
