An 83-year-old Israeli woman died after she fell from the fifth floor of a hotel in Greece, the Foreign Ministry and local media reported on Thursday night.
Greek media reported that the woman, whose name hadn’t been released at the time of publication, was staying at a hotel on the island of Loutraki with her husband.
She fell from the fifth floor of the hotel building onto a public street and was killed instantly by the fall.
Her remains were transferred to a hospital in Corinth.
Elderly Israeli dies in Greece
The Israeli Foreign Ministry said that the embassy in Greece was working alongside the Department for Israelis in Distress Abroad to assist the woman’s family.
This comes after a 32-year-old Israeli tourist drowned in the Pelion region of Greece a week ago after he ignored red flag warnings for swimming conditions.
IEFMERIDA reported that Erez Haflon died after he was swept away in a riptide. He was found unconscious on a pile of rocks and was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
