Honor kicked off the mobile exhibition events in Barcelona (MWC) with the launch of the Magic V6, its new foldable smartphone. The device, arriving less than a year after its predecessor, continues the Chinese manufacturer’s trend of reducing physical dimensions: Its thickness is just 4 mm when open and 8.75 mm when folded – a figure that makes it the thinnest foldable in the world today, comparable to the thickness of standard flagship devices like the iPhone 17 Pro Max. To ensure durability in such a thin structure, the company integrated a new steel hinge (Super Steel Hinge) with a tensile strength of 2,800 MPa, which it claims reduces screen crease depth by 44% and allows for a significantly smoother display.

Despite its slim body, the Magic V6 is equipped with a silicon-carbon battery with a capacity of 6,660 mAh – a significant upgrade over the 5,820 mAh of the previous generation. The device supports 80W fast wired charging and 66W wireless charging. The company also hinted at future battery technology with higher silicon density, which could bring upcoming foldables to a capacity of over 7,000 mAh. The technical specifications include Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of internal storage.

The display section includes a 7.95-inch internal AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2352x2172, and a 6.52-inch external screen. Both panels are equipped with LTPO 2.0 technology, allowing a variable refresh rate of 1–120Hz for energy savings. The camera setup consists of three rear cameras: A primary and ultra-wide 50-megapixel lens each, and a 64-megapixel telephoto lens. On the front, there are two 20-megapixel selfie cameras. Additionally, the device is the first in its category to offer water and dust resistance with the strict IP68 and IP69 standards.

A particularly notable innovation in the Magic V6 is its connectivity with Apple devices. Honor demonstrated integration that allows two-way notification syncing with iPhones, message display on the Apple Watch, and one-click fast file sharing with Mac computers. The device can even function as a secondary display for Apple computers. The Honor Magic V6 is expected to launch in international markets during the second half of 2026, with the global launch price yet to be officially revealed.
