Fans of Friends will get another reason to visit McDonald’s: The chain is launching a global collaboration with the beloved series, which includes branded meals and dolls of the six characters. The iconic brown sofa from the show will also be placed in five branches across the country.
The launch is part of a global initiative in about 50 countries worldwide and comes at a time when the series is enjoying renewed popularity among Gen Z.
Customers can choose between two concept meals: A McNuggets meal with 10 nuggets, a large fries, a large drink, and marinara sauce inspired by Monica’s famous sauce from the show, or a McRoyal meal with a burger, fries, and a large drink. Each meal comes in branded packaging and includes a doll of one of the six characters: Ross, Monica, Chandler, Joey, Rachel, or Phoebe.
In five branches across the country—Rothschild in Tel Aviv, Big Fashion Glilot, Ramat Gan National Park, Grand Canyon Haifa, and Hadar Ashdod—a photo corner will be set up with the vibe of the series’ iconic opening scene.
The launch campaign will run on TV, signage, digital, and social media, and part of it will feature the famous debate from the show: Were they on a break or not? Visitors can choose a side—Ross or Rachel—and the winners will receive the complete set of dolls.
