The medical equipment supply company Eldan, part of the Neopharm Group, which represents Defibtech in Israel, is launching a new service – a home defibrillator subscription (resuscitation device) in a long-term subscription plan.

The automatic defibrillator, Lifeline AED model by Defibtech, is an advanced resuscitation device designed for immediate treatment of cardiac arrest. It is designed so that even a person with no medical training can easily operate it. The device includes clear voice instructions in Hebrew or English, as well as indicator lights, a distinct and portable design, and a battery that lasts up to 7 years.

The defibrillator subscription includes home delivery, personal instruction, and ongoing maintenance. It is also possible to purchase the defibrillator.

A defibrillator is a life-saving device intended to restore the heart’s rhythm to normal in the event of sudden cardiac arrest. Its operation is based on delivering a controlled electric shock, which temporarily resets the heart’s chaotic electrical activity (ventricular fibrillation). This reset allows the heart to resume normal functioning and return to a regular heartbeat.

The survival rate from cardiac arrest outside the hospital is only about 10%. Activation of an external automatic defibrillator (AED) within three minutes of the patient’s collapse can raise the survival rate to about 70%. Using the device within just one minute may save up to about 90% of cases. Every minute of delay in resuscitation reduces the chance of survival by about 7%-10%.
