Last July, Walla Tech reported that the Hong Kong smartphone brand Infinix was planning to officially enter Israel — and now it’s happening: The company has announced the start of its local operations, and its devices are already available for purchase on the official website and in selected stores across the country. This is one of the most notable launches of the year in the local mobile market, not only because a new name is joining but mainly because of the way it challenges the existing price structure.

Infinix, based in Hong Kong and operating since 2013, is now considered one of the fastest-growing smartphone companies in the world. According to IDC data, the brand ranks fourth in the world in smartphone shipments — with over 106 million units shipped in 2024, an increase of about 15% compared to the previous year. The company operates under the Transsion Holdings corporation, which also owns the Tecno and Itel brands, establishing its position as a significant international player, particularly in emerging markets.

Behind the operation in Israel stands Golan Imports, the official importer, which established the local sales and service network. The Israeli Infinix website, launched in recent months, now offers three main models — each targeting a different audience. The GT 30 Pro is a gaming model with an impressive 144Hz refresh rate, a dedicated cooling system, and performance aimed at gaming enthusiasts. The Note 50 Pro+ model is intended more for the business market, with a large display, 70-watt fast charging, and multitasking tools. Alongside them, the Hot 60 Pro+ draws attention thanks to its thickness of just 5.95 mm — making it the thinnest smartphone in the world with a curved 3D display.

All the devices are based on the XOS 15 operating system, built on Android, and add Infinix’s unique interface with integrated AI capabilities, including built-in support for Google Gemini. Alongside the hardware, the company also promises a service experience that aims to set a new standard in the local market — with home pickup and return service within 48 hours and testing at a certified lab, including a commitment to quick repair or replacement response.

The goal of Infinix’s entry into Israel is clear: To offer a reliable and technologically advanced alternative to premium brands, but at prices ranging only between NIS 1,300 and NIS 2,000. If it manages to maintain this balance between specifications and price — it may succeed in shaking up the local market just as it did in other markets around the world.
