The Egged Group has announced the launch of Egg - an innovative public transportation navigation app that will be the first to offer passengers a completely ad-free experience.
The Egg app is designed for travelers using all forms of public transportation - buses operated by any company, light rail systems, Israel Railways, the Carmelit (HaRakavlit), and even shared mobility options such as scooters and bicycles.
According to Egged, which is controlled by the Keystone Infrastructure Fund, all essential passenger information is just a tap away: Accurate real-time schedules, live route navigation, fare displays, a variety of personalized route options, and validation across all modes of public transportation - including trains, buses, and light rails.
Beyond navigation services, the app also offers exclusive features for Egged passengers, such as advance ticket reservations and guaranteed seats for trips to Eilat, a new lost-and-found reporting service, and an integrated customer service center that allows direct contact for travel inquiries, complaints, or suggestions.
Egged Group CEO Gilad Riklin said: “After years of endless ads, Egged is changing the rules of the game. We are the first public transportation group in Israel to launch an app that allows all public transit passengers to plan their routes, load their Rav-Kav, validate rides, book tickets, and contact customer service - all without advertisements.”
