Sony’s importer to Israel, Isfar, announced the launch of the BRAVIA TV series for 2025, which includes three new models – BRAVIA 8 II, BRAVIA 5, and BRAVIA 3 – alongside the BRAVIA Theatre home theater system. The new products are designed to offer a combination of advanced display and audio technologies in a variety of sizes, ranging from 98 inches to 43 inches, to suit different spaces in the home.

Models and Features

The BRAVIA 8 II model is equipped with a QD-OLED panel, an XR processor, and XR Triluminos Max technology for accurate color reproduction. The panel is integrated with brightness and temperature sensors that allow precise control of light levels. The sound is produced using Acoustic Surface Audio+ technology, which turns the screen itself into a speaker.

The BRAVIA 5 model includes a Mini LED panel controlled by the XR Backlight Master Drive system, enabling precise local dimming. The model is available in five sizes – from 98 inches to 55 inches – and combines image processing technologies similar to those of higher-end models.

The BRAVIA 3 model targets the entry-level market, with a 4K Processor X1 and Triluminos Pro technology, for upgrading HD content to 4K resolution. It supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X standards and includes the Google TV operating system with the option to use PS Remote Play.

BRAVIA Theatre System

Alongside the screens, the BRAVIA Theatre home theater system was introduced, which includes a soundbar and optional speakers. The integration of the system with BRAVIA TVs allows unified control through the BRAVIA Connect app or the TV remote, including volume management and audio settings directly from the TV interface.

Compatibility and Standards Support

All models in the series support Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos standards, and some also support the IMAX Enhanced standard. In addition, they include calibration modes tailored to leading streaming services, such as Netflix Adaptive Calibrated Mode and Prime Video Calibrated Mode, which are aimed at reproducing image quality according to the content specifications.

In addition, the models offer an Eco Dashboard interface for managing energy consumption and the use of recycled materials, including SORPLAS plastic, steel, and aluminum. In the field of accessibility, the screens include functions such as a Talkback screen reader, voice commands, tactile points for connections, and integrated control of additional BRAVIA devices.

The series prices range from NIS 2,990 for the BRAVIA 3 model, through NIS 6,490 for the BRAVIA 5 model, up to NIS 10,990 for the BRAVIA 8 II model.
