The new venture marks Bank Leumi’s entry into a new business area. Under the partnership, Leumi will own 51% of the joint company, while Aspire will hold the remaining 49%. The trust company will provide services to businesses across various sectors, including technology and high-tech.
Many technology companies offer equity-based compensation as part of their remuneration packages. The new company will manage these plans, which may include share allocations, stock options, or a combination of the two. It will also provide trust services for mergers and acquisitions, holding funds in trust during the interim period between the signing and closing of a deal.
The venture builds on Bank Leumi’s extensive experience working with leading companies across the Israeli economy, including publicly traded companies, privately held businesses, and firms in the high-tech and technology sectors.
By combining advanced banking infrastructure with specialized capital markets expertise, the new company aims to provide clients with a comprehensive, professional solution. Until now, stock option plan management services have been provided primarily by private investment houses, including Tamir Fishman, a pioneer in the field.
The joint company will be managed by Vanessa Monowicz, who previously held senior positions at accounting firms and the Israel Tax Authority.
“The establishment of the company is another step in our strategy to expand the range of services we offer business clients,” said Omer Ziv, head of the Capital Markets Division at Bank Leumi.
Hanna Hollander, founder of investment house Aspire, said: “Our partnership with Bank Leumi is a significant milestone for us and reflects the confidence placed in our shareholders, management team, and the technological and professional capabilities we bring to the market.”
