For three days during the intermediate days of Sukkot, Nof Hagalil intends to justify its title as "the sweetest city in Israel." The Chocolate Festival returns for the eighth time to Nof Park, featuring children’s shows, workshops, inflatables, and a wide array of activities, all free of charge.
The festival, held this year as part of Nof Hagalil’s 70th anniversary celebrations, will feature performances by children’s stars Miki, the Tarasov family, Royki Mazhiki, and Meni Mamtara. Alongside them, performances and activities inspired by the world of sweets and chocolate will take place throughout the park.
During the three-day event, a chocolatiers’ tent will operate on-site, and visitors can participate in a chocolate parade, craft workshops, and activities designed for children and toddlers. A large inflatable zone, Elite-Strauss photo stations, play areas, face painting stations, and balloon twisting will also be set up.
The list of attractions and shows at the festival includes Tzlilim veshokolad (Sounds and Chocolate), Shoko vekatzefet (Choco and Whipped Cream), Oompa Loompas, Willy Wonka’s world of chocolate, and clown performances. The band Overton will perform on the lake stage.
Entrance to the festival itself is free, as is participation in its activities. However, entrance to the permanent attractions operating in Nof Park requires payment, a detail worth taking into account before arriving.
Kosher-certified food trucks will be set up in the complex, and a kosher sukkah will be available for visitors. Parking will be available in the park lot or in two other large parking lots located within walking distance.
Nof Hagalil Mayor Ronen Plot invited the public to attend the festival, which he said has become an integral part of the city’s events over the years. This year, the event joins a series of activities planned to mark Nof Hagalil’s 70th year.
