Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas was released from the hospital after undergoing "routine medical tests" at the Istishari Arab Hospital in Ramallah, in the West Bank, the PA's official news agency WAFA reported on Monday.

The 90-year-old Abbas, who is in the 21st year of a four-year term, was hospitalized earlier that day.

After his medical tests were completed and he was released from the hospital, WAFA stated that the test results were "reassuring."

Despite Abbas’s advanced age, reports from Palestinian sources indicate that his health remains stable, and he continues to consolidate key powers, overseeing the civil administration, the security apparatus, and the political mechanisms of the PA.
