The National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (NCAG) unveiled a new logo in a press release on Monday announcing the official reopening of the Rafah Crossing.

The logo is nearly identical to the emblem previously used by the Palestinian Authority and the PLO: it features an eagle with a shield the colors of the Palestinian flag on its chest, and a banner in its talons. In previous iterations, the banner read "Palestine" in Arabic, but the NCAG version reads "NCAG" instead.

NCAG's previous logo featured a stylized bird in Palestinian flag colors rising from a city skyline.

Liberman blasts Israeli government over new Gaza administration

Yisrael Beitenu party leader and former defense minister Avigdor Liberman reacted to the new logo on X/Twitter, blaming Israel's "weak" leadership, and demanding that it be replaced.

"Finally, the government of October 7 handed over control of Gaza to the Palestinian Authority!" He said sarcastically, adding, "This is of course in addition to allowing aid trucks, fuel, and electricity to reach the Hamas terrorists."

Liberman went on to decry the government for promising a complete victory, and instead delivering only humiliation.

The Prime Minister's Office denied knowledge of the logo's alteration, claiming that the logo shown to Israel was not the same as the one presented in the press release. They went on to state that Israel would not accept usage of the PA's logo, and that the PA would not be a collaborator in running Gaza.
