Following sirens in moshav Netiv Ha'Asara, the IDF confirmed on Tuesday morning that a rocket was fired from northern Gaza into Israeli territory.

The missile is understood to have fallen in the area, and no injuries were reported.

The attack came as Israel marked the second anniversary of Hamas's October 7 massacre.

Nearly two hours later, rocket sirens sounded again in the moshav, with the military announcing a second time on Tuesday that it was a false alarm.

No casualties have been reported.

What happened in Netiv Ha'Asara two years ago?

Exactly two years ago saw 14 civilians and three security team members were killed in the moshav during the Hamas attack. No hostages were taken, according to an IDF probe released in March.

According to the probe, Hamas penetrated the village by 6:39 a.m., even faster than in many other border villages. They immediately started killing civilians.
