An IDF Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) serving in the Golani Brigade's Reconnaissance Battalion was "severely injured" earlier on Tuesday during a combat operation in the central Gaza Strip, the military confirmed.
The NCO was evacuated to a hospital for medical treatment, and his family was notified.
Meanwhile, the military also announced details of recent operations in southern Syria, the Gaza Strip, and the West Bank.
IDF apprehends weapons dealers in south Syria
IDF soldiers from the 210th Division, aided by the Human Intelligence Unit 504, operated overnight to apprehend and question weapons dealers operating in south Syria, the military confirmed.
In addition, the soldiers confiscated weapons located during the raids on the weapons dealers, the military added.
Ongoing operations in the Gaza Strip
The IDF carried out hundreds of precise strikes and dismantled terror infrastructure in the Gaza Strip, including observation posts, rocket launch sites, weapons storage facilities, and several terror tunnels, the military added.
Soldiers from the IDF's 7th Armored Brigade identified three terrorists wearing camouflage moving towards IDF soldiers. Reservists from the Commando Brigade, supported by the Israel Air Force, killed the terrorists, the military noted.
In a separate operation, a terror cell planning to plant explosives in the ground with the intention of targeting IDF soldiers was also killed.
IDF seizes 20 pipe bombs in West Bank, arrests terrorists planning attacks
The IDF also operated in Beit Umar, near Hebron, and Al Fureidis, near Bethlehem, during the overnight period from Monday to Tuesday, apprehending terrorists who had 20 pipe bombs in their possession. The bombs were also seized, the military confirmed.
Additionally, soldiers arrested two terrorists in Tubas who were planning to harm civilians and security personnel with explosives.
Soldiers also arrested four individuals near Surif, suspected of attacking Israeli civilians and setting property on fire near Bat Ayin.
Meanwhile, soldiers apprehended two terrorists in the West Bank suspected of trading weapons and throwing rocks.
The terrorists and weapons were transferred to Israel Police and Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) for further processing, the military noted.
