One person was killed in a shooting in Ramle, and another was injured in a separate incident in Umm el-Fahm on Saturday night, Israel Police said in a statement.

The 25-year-old from Ramle was found with penetrating wounds after an apparent conflict in the city. He was taken to Shamir Medical Center in Tzrifin, where he was pronounced dead after efforts to revive him.

Israel Police opened an investigation into the incident. Central District police commander Yair Hetzroni stated that all means will be used to arrest those involved in the shooting “for the sake of public safety.”

According to Israeli media, this is the 212th victim of gun violence in the Arab-Israeli society in 2025.

Several shootings over the weekend

In a different incident, a 27-year-old man was seriously injured in a violent incident in Umm al-Fahm, Israeli public broadcaster KAN News reported. No further updates on his health were provided.

In a third incident on Friday night, a 25-year-old man and a 29-year-old man were seriously wounded in a shooting incident on Rimonim Street in Herzliya.

MDA paramedics who arrived at the scene to treat the victims said that they "suffered serious penetrating injuries to their bodies." The two were rushed to Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba for further treatment.

Police opened an investigation into the incident and began searching for suspects, noting that the background of the incident is likely criminal.

Hours before the Herzliya incident, a 30-year-old man was seriously wounded in a stabbing attack on Ehud Manor Street in Bat Yam.

Israeli media reported that local police believed that the incident was also criminal in nature.
