Border Police officers, accompanied by IDF soldiers, carried out raids and evacuations of four illegal outposts and farms across the West Bank on Sunday.
Most of the locations have not yet been demolished; they are only in the preliminary stage of evacuating residents, Walla learned.
This followed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's order to evacuate 14 illegal West Bank outposts defined as "centers of Jewish extremism and nationalist crime," in a recent security meeting, as reported by N12 News on Saturday.
IDF imposes closed military zone during settler evacuations in West Bank
IDF Central Command chief Maj.-Gen. Avi Bluth and Judea and Samaria Division chief Brig.-Gen. Kobi Heller imposed a closed military zone around the outposts to facilitate evacuation.
The four outposts evacuated on Sunday are located in the Gush Etzion region, south of Jerusalem; in Samaria, in the northern West Bank; and in the Binyamin region of the central West Bank.
Settler extremists in the West Bank have conducted several acts of violence recently across the region. In one such instance, dozens of settlers raided the Palestinian village of Jaba in the Gush Etzion region and set fire to homes and cars in the area in mid-November.
