Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich issued the Religious Zionist Party's "red lines" for a Gaza peace deal in advance of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's meeting with US President Donald Trump on Monday.

He demanded that neither the Palestinian Authority nor Qatar would be involved in the administration of the Gaza Strip.

Smotrich also required there to be "no mention, even by hint, of a Palestinian state that would endanger Israel's existence."

Smotrich also demanded the "true and complete withdrawal of Hamas from Gaza, and genuine disarmament of all terror infrastructure above and below ground."

The IDF will need to remain in the Philadelphi Corridor, as well as other perimeter areas of the enclave, according to Smotrich's requirements.

The minister also called on Gaza to no longer be a prison where "people are held by force in an illegal and immoral way just to harm Israel," calling on those who wish to leave to be able to do so via the Rafah Border Crossing into Egypt.

This is a developing story.
