A vigil for the killed Hamas leader and October 7 architect Yahya Sinwar was set up in the Bronx borough of New York City earlier this week, videos posted by attendees of the event on social media show.

The gathering at the vigil was held by a group called the "Bronx Anti-War Coalition."

The vigil, which had a banner saying "Glory to the Axis of Resistance," also included numerous photos of other notable terror leaders, some of whom are still alive and others who were killed.

Those still alive include Houthi leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, as well as the Islamic Republic's Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Photographs of terror leaders who were killed include Hezbollah's Hassan Nasrallah and Hamas's Ismail Haniyeh. The vigil also includes photos of killed Islamic Republic officials, former president Ebrahim Raisi, and military leader Qasem Soleimani. A photo was also seen of Saleh Aljafarawi, a well-known social media influencer affiliated with Hamas, who was killed earlier this week by an anti-Hamas militia in the Sabra neighborhood in southern Gaza City.

Vigils for Sinwar in Madrid, Athens

In Madrid, posters that praised Sinwar were plastered throughout the Spanish capital, according to a statement by Samidoun on their website, a group that was also designated as a terror organization by the US and Canada last year.

Samidoun, who made their statement one year since Sinwar was killed, said the Hamas leader was "a peoples’ fighter who was martyred in battle against the national enemy. He gave his life in the struggle for the welfare of his people and in service of all free peoples of the world."

The incidents in NYC and Madrid come after it was reported that Greek police banned a memorial event for the killed Hamas leader in Athens.

According to Athens Police, the ban will remain in effect from 5 p.m. Thursday until 6 a.m. Friday, covering Syntagma Square and the inner-city.
