The Village guest complex of Nof Ginosar Hotel, located in the northwest of the Sea of Galilee, is now experiencing a new life. After an extensive renovation and design process led by architects Oshir Asban and Noam Hatuka, Israel’s first kibbutz hotel now offers, in addition to the hotel rooms, 71 renovated ground-floor rooms in the Village complex, designed as a direct continuation of the hotel’s overall design narrative. The new rooms feature a modern design concept that incorporates elements in natural and greenish tones. The use of textiles in sand, sky blue, and aqua shades evokes the meeting of shore and waves and complements the view from the window. Carefully chosen lighting fixtures serve as delicate ornaments that illuminate the space and give it a touch of understated elegance.
Works by kibbutz artists incorporated into the hotel
Additionally, it was decided to integrate works by artists from Kibbutz Ginosar as part of the Village rooms’ design—a step that connects local culture with the hospitality experience. Each room displays carefully selected original works, adding a unique artistic layer and allowing guests to experience local talent and feel a deep connection to the place and its people.
The architects explain: "We wanted to create an experience that respects the history of the place while offering visitors comfort and contemporary aesthetics." The upgrade preserves the unique kibbutz-family character of the Village while combining modern design that provides a luxurious Galilee boutique feel, bridging nostalgia, warmth, and contemporary style.
Paddle comes to the Sea of Galilee
Alongside the Village complex upgrade, Nof Ginosar Hotel is launching four professional paddle courts, the first of their kind in the northern region and specifically around the Sea of Galilee. This move places the hotel at the forefront of Israel’s hottest sports trend.
Paddle, which combines elements of tennis and squash, is now available to guests against the backdrop of the Sea of Galilee. The courts are open both to hotel guests and outside visitors, offering enjoyable sports activity for all ages—beginners and advanced players alike.
“The extensive renovation and addition of the new paddle courts place Nof Ginosar Hotel at the forefront of hotels in northern Israel,” said Amir Yaron, the hotel’s CEO. “We have created a perfect experience combining innovative design, spectacular Galilee nature, and fun sports activity for the whole family. In the renovated Village, we have created a place that connects family tranquility, positive energy, and lots of fun against the magical backdrop of the Sea of Galilee.”
