As airlines are still trying to recover from recent industry upheavals, Wizz Air continues to soar at an impressive pace – celebrating the unveiling of its 250th aircraft. This is a significant milestone for the company, placing it exactly halfway toward its ambitious goal: A fleet of 500 aircraft within the next decade.
The celebration featured the unveiling of the winning design from the company’s global art competition, held among designers, customers, and employees worldwide. The artwork, chosen by an international judging panel, reflects the values that drive Wizz Air – creativity, energy, and a sense of belonging.
Wizz Air CEO, József Váradi, said, "The 250th aircraft is much more than an addition to the fleet – it is a defining moment in the company’s history. The achievement reflects over two decades of bold decisions, relentless innovation, and the passion of thousands of employees and partners who make flying accessible to everyone."
Váradi added that the company "is committed to doubling the fleet over the next decade and offering more flights at attractive fares. 250 is not just a number; it is a symbol of our ambitions and a springboard to the next chapter in our journey."
