Israir officially inaugurated its new call center in the city of Sderot, sending a clear message: The company is staying.
Israir chose to establish a service and sales center in the city several years ago, driven by a clear ideology to strengthen employment in peripheral communities. Recently, the center moved to its new and upgraded location, providing a pleasant and modern work environment for employees.
Israir’s service and sales center serves over 2 million passengers annually—flying to more than 40 destinations worldwide and to the domestic destination of Eilat—as well as the community of travel agents in Israel.
The city of Sderot, which was among the cities heavily affected by the events of October 7, serves as a symbol of resilience and renewed growth. As part of the center’s inauguration ceremony, an emotional initiative was carried out in collaboration with the artist Tal Tana-Chechkas, the initiator of the art project "The Flag of Flags," in which Israeli flags collected during the war were sewn into a single large banner. During the ceremony, Israir’s call center flag was attached to the banner and hoisted by the center’s employees.
Hila Harmolin Ronen, Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Israir, said: “Israir continues to expand its operations and is currently strengthening the service and sales teams at the Sderot and Giv'atayim centers, with the aim of providing optimal service to the company’s passengers and travel agents. We see great importance in maintaining the call center’s location in Sderot as part of developing employment in the periphery, especially after the challenging past two years.”
