Samsung announced at the IFA exhibition the Galaxy S25 FE, the newest addition to its family of flagship devices, offering a combination of premium experience with a more accessible price tag of $650. The device features a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,900 nits, a slim and lightweight design with an improved Armor Aluminium frame, and a 4,900mAh battery with 45W wired charging and a 10% larger vapor chamber to maintain smooth and efficient performance even under load.

The Galaxy S25 FE also offers a camera system that includes a 50-megapixel main lens, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, an 8-megapixel telephoto lens, and an upgraded 12-megapixel front selfie camera powered by the AI-based ProVisual engine for enhanced portrait and night photography.

The device runs on One UI 8, Samsung’s new operating system version, bringing with it advanced Galaxy AI experiences. Among other things, you can find Gemini Live, which enables real-time visual calls with contextual understanding; the Now Bar and Now Summary for displaying personalized information directly from the lock screen; and Google’s Circle to Search, providing useful information in games and other apps. These tools integrate voice, touch, and visual input to create an intuitive interaction experience, while also benefiting from a new security framework under Knox Enhanced Encrypted Protection and Knox Vault to protect user privacy.

Alongside the familiar software, the Galaxy S25 FE includes a variety of AI-based features: Generative Edit that automatically detects and removes unwanted objects from photos, Instant Slow-mo that enables instant playback of videos in slow motion, Audio Eraser that removes background noise from videos, and Auto Trim that selects the best moments from video recordings. In addition, Portrait Studio allows the creation of personal avatars with realistic facial expressions. An improved night mode with noise reduction and Super HDR for video complete the photography suite.

The Galaxy S25 FE is powered by the Exynos 2400 processor, which is below the performance level of the Snapdragon 8 Elite integrated into the series’ premium models, but still delivers sufficient processing power for content streaming, multitasking, and media editing. Samsung emphasizes that the device is intended to open up the Galaxy AI experience to a broader audience, making it accessible also to those who do not wish to invest in the premium prices of the S25 models, while maintaining long-term system updates — up to seven generations ahead. The Galaxy S25 FE comes in four standout colors: Light blue, black, dark blue, and white. The launch took place on September 11, with a starting price of NIS 2,349.
