Ituran is changing the rules of the game in the field of vehicle security systems with the launch of Ituran KEY – an innovative system that makes the traditional immobilizer obsolete. Instead of entering a 4-digit code on every drive, drivers will enjoy advanced biometric identification via smartphone – using fingerprint or facial recognition – to deactivate the system with the press of a button.
The use of the system does not require the installation of a keypad in the vehicle and allows additional drivers (such as family members) to also be identified via their mobile phones. In case of a drained battery, the company provides a backup remote control for deactivation.
Ituran KEY is already in use by leading car importers and is expected to be widely adopted in all new vehicles in the near future.
