iDigital, the official marketer of Apple products in Israel, launched a new move in the local computer market that will allow, for the first time, trade-in on PC computers and not only on Mac computers. As part of the move, customers will be able to receive a credit of up to NIS 4,000 for their old computer when purchasing a new Mac computer from a variety of models including MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iMac, and Mac mini.

The refund value will be determined by the chain’s representatives at one of iDigital’s 23 branches across the country according to the year of manufacture and the condition level of the computer. Trade-in can be made on computers manufactured from 2017 and onward including computers from manufacturers such as Dell, HP, Lenovo, and others.

Alongside the monetary refund, buyers will also enjoy a value package including three years warranty, 30 days trial with the option for a full refund, and up to 24 interest-free payments. The move will be valid until the end of September and is intended to make Apple computers more accessible to wider audiences while maintaining affordable economic terms.

Among the examples of refunds are a MacBook Pro 16-inch with an M2 Pro processor eligible for a refund of NIS 4,000, compared to older computers such as the 2017 MacBook Pro which qualifies for NIS 605. PC computers also qualify for a refund ranging from NIS 500 to NIS 600 depending on the manufacturer and year of manufacture.

According to Tzili Balkind, VP of Marketing and Service at iDigital, this is a new approach designed to allow consumers to realize the value of their old computer and turn it into a tool for technological renewal in an accessible and profitable way.
