Interior designer Oshri Gonen usually specializes in office and commercial spaces, with an emphasis on those focused on body and soul, such as Pilates studios, yoga centers, gyms, and so on. Only occasionally does Gonen decide to include residential projects in her work, and she selects them carefully. According to her: "When the client approached me, I felt we had a good vibe between us, that there was an excellent connection – also on the design level – and so we set out on the project. The result is wonderful: a home that feels like Pinterest – exactly as the client requested, and above all radiates a great deal of warm, effortless coziness."
Interior designer Oshri Gonen explains: "The project began by connecting the client’s visual inspiration, continued with precise planning that is accessible and suitable for real life, and ended with a garden apartment that is warm, soft, and pleasant."
This is a garden apartment with an area of 130 square meters, which underwent a complete renovation. Five rooms were redesigned with deep consideration of the household’s lifestyle, the movement between spaces, functionality, and also the emotion that a space can evoke.
The renovation included a complete redesign of the kitchen, which was previously located in a closed-off corner of the apartment. In the new plan, the kitchen was moved to a central and open location, allowing for direct interaction with the rest of the public spaces. It was designed in a warm and natural color palette, using cozy materials such as natural wood and beige-toned porcelain granite. The cabinets were custom-made with precise finishing, and the work surface was covered with high-quality stone. Hidden lighting was installed beneath the upper cabinets to highlight textures and materials and to create a soft and inviting atmosphere.
To create a sense of separation between the kitchen and the living room without interrupting the flow, a semi-rounded TV wall was designed – an unusual design element that brings softness and movement into the straight and angular structure of the apartment. The wall was coated with light-colored mineral plaster, emphasizing the airy and warm line chosen for the entire home.
The furniture and accessories were carefully selected, with the goal of preserving material and color harmony. A sand-colored sofa with textured cushions, a solid wood coffee table with a delicate finish, decorative lighting fixtures, and soft rugs – all together create a cozy and embracing homey feeling, with a touch of quiet luxury. In the bathrooms, porcelain granite tiles with a natural travertine-like finish were used – a look that provides depth and calm. The carpentry was done in solid wood with a matte finish, and the mirrors – in amorphous shapes – are accompanied by hidden lighting that creates soft and flattering light play.
The result is an apartment designed in a warm, elegant, and precise style, fulfilling the client’s dream of a home that is not only as beautiful as Pinterest – but also 100% personally tailored to her and her family’s life. A project that proves how precise design can turn digital inspiration into a living, breathing, and soulful reality.
