And so it happened again, the people of Gaza went out with cakes and sweets into the streets with loud cheers and celebration of the brutal massacre of a Jewish family.
The Salomon family, residents of Neve Tzuf in the Binyamin region, were celebrating the birth of a new grandchild on a Friday night, when 19-year-old Omer al-Abed burst in, stabbing and killing a grandfather and his children: Yosef Salomon (70), and his children Haya (46) and Elad (36).
Elad's wife managed to flee with the children to another room, which could not be locked, while hearing the horrific screams of her family being butchered to death.
An off-duty soldier from the Oketz K-9 unit heard the screams and fired through the windrow, hitting Al-Abed and stopping the attack in progress. This vile terrorist, Al-Abed, survived and was treated in Petah Tikvah at the Rabin Medical Center.
Al-Abed had written on Facebook earlier, "There is no point to living without the Al-Aqsa Mosque," and had bought his knife days earlier in preparation for carrying out this attack. He was reportedly connected to Hamas, but was not an active member of the terror group.
Because of his demented obsession with the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the false belief that Jews would destroy it, a Jewish mother who survived that massacre had to bury her husband and two children; the pain is all-consuming for her and her relatives.
This massacre happened several years ago and recently showed up on my Facebook memories page today, and I remember it like it was yesterday. It's burned forever in my heart and soul.
I reported extensively about it, and then I simply threw up from all of the horror and cried myself to sleep with the image of this family’s blood-stained kitchen floor haunting my dreams - a home that was turned into a slaughterhouse by an Arab terrorist.
This horrific massacre came after metal detectors had been placed on the Temple Mount due to terrorists who had stormed out from it with guns and shot Israeli police officers outside the Temple Mount.
The whole Muslim world went up in arms with the installation of metal detectors on the Temple Mount. It was a very tense time with Muslims staying away from going to the mosque or the shrine there. I went up there personally and made videos speaking about how quiet it was, commenting on how a Holy Place should be serene and regarded with a sense of sacred quietness.
That video was later copied and edited by someone, and ultimately ended up being aired on Arab news sites including the Al Quds news. They labeled me as a Jew who was mocking Muslims, and my face went viral all over the world, with thousands of people threatening my life or threatening me with rape and torture. My support for Israel has brought the same thing to happen to me over the years I have reported from Jerusalem.
I'm now sitting here in Jerusalem on a Wednesday morning; it is years later, and over the past day, the IAF struck approximately 120 terror targets throughout the Gaza Strip, including terrorist cells, military structures and command centers, tunnels, booby-trapped structures, and additional terrorist infrastructure sites.
Our brave warriors are relentlessly attacking the biggest terrorist nest in the world as IDF troops continue locating and dismantling terrorist infrastructure above and below ground.
And yet, it comes as no surprise that 28 UN-aligned nations had the audacity to conspire together in a joint statement against this nation. Israel is attacked by modern-day Nazis who are committed to genocide and perpetrating the worst atrocities since the Holocaust, while blaming and condemning Israel for defending itself from this evil onslaught.
This communiqué was signed and released on Monday by the foreign ministers of Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK, as well as the EU Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management.
Most of these countries have funded the slaughter of Jews for years by pouring billions into the corrupt Palestinian Authority entity, funding summer camps for Palestinian children in Gaza, and actually teaching Arab children how to liberate Palestine and murder Jews, just like October 7.
The EU has also poured millions of Euros into the hands of the PA to build illegally in Judea and Samaria, and the list goes on. Despite the obvious, this vile statement from these shameful nations also accuses Israel of depriving Gaza of “human dignity.”
Are you serious? What “source” do you rely on that is credible? Oh, I see… Credible information or truth is irrelevant. The “narrative” is self-serving to YOUR evil agenda!
This is evident, because the same people who, for years, cheered when Jews were murdered in heinous terror attacks, who set Israel on fire when they sent hundreds of incendiary kites and balloons with explosive devises into Israel, the same civilians who participated in rapes and the massacre on October 7, after thousands of them were making a good living by actually working in Israel prior to October 7, not to mention the hundreds of people from Gaza who received treatments in Israeli hospitals.
Where is the strong and ongoing call from these falling nations for Hamas to surrender and release all of the hostages immediately?
Had these nations stepped up in protest and indignation, they potentially could have helped stop the war nearly two years ago. Instead, Israel has been pressured into allowing strategic materials to flow into Gaza, which is empowering Hamas to prolong a war that should have been over a long time ago.
Where is the outrage from these nations against the “humanitarian” International Red Cross, who failed miserably by not even once visiting the precious hostages who had endured countless rapes, torture, and starvation for nearly 2 years?
Most of these nations are from Europe, and seemingly, their moral compass that was lost during the Holocaust was never regained regarding the Jewish people. They also continue to scream about famine and starvation in Gaza, something the treacherous and deceitful UN administration has turned into a mockery by spreading lies day in and day out, since they are deeply embedded with Hamas. We are not fooled!
The UN and UNWRA have for so many years facilitated and supported Hamas in schools, hospitals, daycare centers, health clinics, and then the aid Hamas stole to keep a totalitarian grip and control on Gaza like an iron fist.
Hamas is the source of the starvation and famine, which includes the crimes of stealing the aid, and deliberately shooting or beating anyone who protests, complains, or tries to confront their Mafia-like behavior.
This must be quite a shock to the civilians who always supported and helped Hamas in their attacks on Israel, including the October 7 massacre, where civilians participated in an onslaught of terror and evil.
Even before the attacks of October 7, I reported about how morally bankrupt the world is, especially Europe, when it comes to Israel, and they just proved this again this week when Druze and Christians were massacred in Syria, and did nothing to help.
On top of that, they condemned Israel for stepping in to help, when the rest of the world watched in silence – what a bunch of hypocrites! There is no regard for humanitarian issues, just the darkness of their hearts, overshadowing the world and casting ill will against Israel and other oppressed peoples.
And just today, while all of this fervor against Israel flares up, the IDF reopened a mobile field treatment facility in southern Syria after several weeks of closure, while providing extensive medical services to the Syrian Druze population.
You see, while they are screaming about people “dying of hunger,” the IDF reports that there is no famine in Gaza, but if the UN keeps staying passive and not delivering the aid from the 950 trucks that are just sitting, getting spoiled, there could be.
They behave like the perpetrators of Munchausen syndrome who fake or cause injury, only to seek attention or sympathy from the community. Sound familiar?
So aid from 950 trucks is sitting in Gaza waiting for the UN to do their job and distribute food, but instead they are doing nothing but spreading lies every day. Come on, this smells of Nazi propaganda, repeating lies to numb the ears of those listening, and ultimately, cave in and believe these lies, due to the endless repetition they hear.
This week, we also saw one of the most vile blood libels against the brave pioneers living in Judea and Samaria. Unfortunately, this is something that happens over and over again in this sick and vile campaign against Jews living in the Biblical Heartland of Israel.
It all started when the Orthodox Patriarch of Jerusalem, Theophilos III, joined by Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, and diplomats from 20 countries, visited the Church of St. George in the Binyamin region.
“Radical Israelis from nearby settlements intentionally set fire near the town cemetery and the church of St. George,” Theophilis III declared. “This is not only a violation of property, but a targeted attack on a community that has long been a symbol of coexistence and peace,” Theophilis said.
So, all over the world, lies were spreading that Israeli settlers had burned down the 1,500-year-old Church of St. George in Taybeh. This is the basis of a “blood libel,” a viciously false statement given with the intent to draw ire and bloodshed against Jews.
That was naturally a big fat lie purposely meant to discredit the Jews once again, and it was shared widely in mainstream media without any proof whatsoever. This is beyond disgraceful.
Finally, the Israel Police stepped into the scene and set the record straight: “Contrary to misleading reports, no damage was caused to the Church of Saint George. The fire was confined to adjacent scrubland.
A frame-by-frame review of video released by the Taybeh Municipality showed a Jewish teenager running toward the flames with a compressed-air blower – equipment used to contain, not ignite, brush fires.
One shepherd at the scene said he had tried beating back the flames with his shirt while Palestinian youths hurled stones at him. And then came this news: police call logs confirm that the adjacent farm had filed arson complaints on July 7, 8, and 11, the same dates the church cited as attacks on its compound.
Jewish farmland was set ablaze three times in a week by Arabs, something that also happens over and over. So the blood libel of a Jewish "nationalist crime" was a fabricated lie, no church was set on fire, and no cemetery was desecrated.
US Ambassador Mike Huckabee visited the site, and he was pulled into this whole mess, even though he didn't mention Jewish settlers specifically in his description of this "terror attack." That's how it was perceived. That is how the mainstream media works, to exploit any situation to further their agenda against Israel.
However, the ambassador later shared this important information from the Israeli Police and clarified his words.
A personal message to the US ambassador
Allow me to end this article with a personal message to Mr. Huckabee.
“First, I want to welcome you to The Holy Land, this time not as a pastor bringing a tourist group to travel the Holy Land and then leave again, going home to America.
This time your home, in Israel, not as a pastor but now in a crucial position for such a time as this, as the US Ambassador.”
Ambassador Huckabee, from one evangelical Christian to another, let me share a few things with you after living in the Land of the Bible for more than 10 years, because living in Israel and not just visiting, even though that could have been 100 times, it's VERY different to be here at home in Israel.
Naturally, I understand that our situation is not the same with you being here as the US ambassador and me being here living alone, doing all the shopping and cleaning, standing in line in the post office, taking the train and the bus, dealing with landlords (sometimes unfair landlords), paying rent and utilities, gives me the full experience of living in Israel. Naturally, as an ambassador, you will not experience this, but with both of us being blessed beyond measure to call Israel, for whatever amount of time, our home, is a tremendous honor and leaves you in awe.
Welcome Mike (can I call you Mike?), to the eye of the hurricane, Jerusalem, the City of Gold and God's Holy City. There's no place I'd rather go to sleep and wake up in than the City of God, and I can imagine it's the same for you and your dear wife.
You came out swinging as the new US ambassador with many brave statements and support for Israel, as you, a former pastor, know exactly what God's Word says about His nation and the promises to the Jewish people. This is a tremendous blessing for America and Israel that you are appointed to this job “for such a time as this.”
But I want to speak boldly to you as someone who has stood in the gap for Israel, sharing news out of Israel for many years, and feeling within my own body, as you will soon experience too, there is surely a battle between good and evil, light and darkness when it comes to Israel.
With truth, facts, and history on Israel’s side, you know very well the enemies of Israel hate the Jewish people, and the spiritual battle for Israel is very tangible, especially living here in Jerusalem.
When the enemies of Israel don't have facts, truth, or history on their side, the lies, the incitement, the propaganda, and the deception run rampant against Israel and the Jewish people. That is what you found yourself in the midst of when you visited Taybeh a few days ago. You experienced firsthand the blood libel and the slanderous, falsified indictments against the Jews, just like I have written about in this entire article above.
The greatest gift that God can give you is wisdom and discernment, especially in your role as an ambassador. You're going to meet the spirit of deception coming from all sides, trying to convince you of the lies and the propaganda against Israel. My prayer for you is that you will withstand all attempts from the enemy to trap you unwillingly or unwittingly.
As I mentioned earlier, the nations of Europe have lost their moral compass, falling prey to the enemy's lies, indictments, and snares. The deception of the pro-Palestinian lies results in the EU pouring billions of dollars into the hands of the Palestinian Authority.
You, dear Mike Huckabee, for such a time as this, are the ambassador of one of the only countries in the world that still holds a government that has a clear sight of light and darkness, truth and lies about Israel, and solidly believes how God truly created Israel as the Homeland for the Jewish people.
Since I arrived alone in Israel many years ago with one suitcase, my heart has been broken, because I became one with the Jewish people as one family, and we never get to fully recover before another horrific terror attack comes against another Jewish family.
These are families being ripped apart, traumatized, and left for dead by Arab terrorism, and we have to watch those terrorists go to jail, only to be rewarded by the PA that pays out thousands of dollars every month for the brutal murder of yet another Jewish life.
Then there is the PTSD and emotional trauma, along with what you have also experienced, the profound terror while running for our lives, while racing for cover, while rockets and now also ballistic missiles are raining in over the Holy Land.
So, visiting Israel, even if it has been a hundred times, is nothing compared to what it's like to actually live in Israel, which is in the center of the world, and right in the midst of the biggest spiritual battle imaginable. Put on your “full armor of God” because it's a war every day, and I honestly believe that God has sent us both to comfort His people for such a time as this, which is possible, even in a job like the US Ambassador.
