United Arab Emirates Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed met this week with leaders of the American Jewish Committee (AJC) on the sidelines of the World Governments Summit in Dubai, the UAE Foreign Ministry confirmed on Thursday. 

The meeting was also attended by State Minister Saeed Al Hajeri.

The meeting reviewed regional and international developments and, according to the ministry, stressed support for political solutions that advance sustainable peace and security in the Middle East.

Participants discussed ways to enhance security and stability in the region through dialogue and de-escalation, the ministry said.

Strengthening interfaith, intercultural initiatives 

The conversation also addressed strengthening interfaith and intercultural initiatives and promoting values of tolerance and peaceful coexistence to build resilient, cooperative societies.

The UAE has hosted multiple high-profile gatherings centered on religious tolerance and shared civic values.

The engagement took place on the margins of this year’s global policy forum in Dubai, which drew international leaders and organizations for discussions on governance and regional partnerships.
