The Israeli military struck Hezbollah targets in Lebanon on Thursday in response to "repeated violations of the ceasefire agreements," according to an official IDF statement.
The statement did not specify the region targeted. However, IDF Arabic spokesperson Col. Avichay Adraee warned residents of the southern Lebanese town of Sahmar earlier on Thursday to evacuate the area in preparation for an attack on Hezbollah infrastructure.
The announcement, shared on social media, included a map of the region with a specified radius highlighted in red.
"Residents of the [area] marked in red...are required to evacuate it immediately and stay at least 300 meters away from it," Adraee wrote.
Foreign reports of IDF activity in southern Lebanon
Israeli forces operated in the southern Lebanese town of Aadaysit Marjayoun on Thursday morning and demolished two houses in the area, the Hezbollah-affiliated Lebanese outlet Al Mayadeen reported.
Aadaysit Marjayoun is a border town located directly across from the northern Israeli town of Misgav Am.
IDF demolishes terrorist's Hebron home after attack leaves one dead
Separately, the IDF stated on Thursday morning that, overnight, troops demolished the Hebron house of Imran al-Atrash, one of the terrorists responsible for the November 18, 2025, ramming and stabbing attack that resulted in the death of 70-year-old Kiryat Arba resident Aharon Cohen.
Three others were wounded in the attack.
"The demolition of the terrorist's home is a closing of a circle in the fight against terrorism," the IDF stated.
IDF kill terrorist in Gaza, soldier injured by stray bullet
On Thursday afternoon, the IDF's 7th Armored Brigade combat team "identified a terrorist who crossed the Yellow line" and approached the IDF position in a way that "posed an immediate threat," according to an IDF statement.
Israeli forces killed the individual in question in order to neutralize the threat.
Earlier on Thursday morning, the military announced that a reservist soldier from the 16th Infantry Brigade, also known as the Jerusalem Brigade, was injured on Wednesday in the northern Gaza Strip.
The IDF stated the soldier was hurt by a stray bullet, without giving additional details about the incident. The soldier was subsequently conveyed to the hospital for treatment.
Sirens sound in Nahal Oz deemed false alarm
Also on Thursday, rocket sirens sounded in Kibbutz Nahal Oz in the Gaza border community. Almost immediately after the event, the sirens were deemed a false alarm, Army Radio reported.
Police respond to West Bank violence
Israel police on Thursday received a report that a pipe bomb and Molotov cocktails were thrown at an Israeli citizen on Highway 449 in the West Bank. No casualties or damage were reported.
