Members of Syria's Druze community flew an Israeli flag from a roof in Sweida in southern Syria, footage shared across social media appeared to show on Wednesday afternoon.
The footage was also recirculated across Israeli media, including Israel's public broadcaster, KAN News.
Meanwhile, additional footage also appeared to show Druze locals in Sweida removing the Syrian government flag.
Security forces affiliated with Damascus and members of Syria's Druze community in Sweida have been clashing over the past few days.
On Monday, Israel began to strike security forces affiliated with Damascus.
On Wednesday, Israel's involvement in the conflict escalated, as the Israel Air Force conducted airstrikes on Damascus, including on the military headquarters and the Presidential Palace.

Meanwhile, the IDF and police officers are attempting to prevent Israeli-Druze civilians from crossing en masse into Syria to support their brethren.
